David Meth

David Meth has been a practicing attorney in the States of New York and New Jersey for over 33 years. Mr. Meth has extensive experience in both litigation and transactional matters. He is an accomplished trial attorney handling divorce and family law matters, bankruptcy matters, commercial litigation, and business disputes. He also has represented lending institutions and other business organizations in various types of situations.

In 2007, after spending many years as a partner or acting "of counsel" to two separate New York City-based law firms, Mr. Meth opened his own practice in Howell, New Jersey. In 2016, Mr. Meth relocated to a larger office space closer to the courthouse in Freehold, New Jersey. He continues to represent both individual and business clients in a wide array of legal matters. He is also certified as a mediator in family law matters by the New Jersey Courts.

Mr. Meth is a member of the Monmouth County Bar Association and serves on the Professionalism Committee, among others. He has served on various panels mentoring other attorneys in legal ethics and professionalism topics. Mr. Meth is also a long-standing panelist on the Monmouth County Early Settlement Panel, which panel assists litigants in matrimonial cases to help resolve their issues. He also volunteers significant time as a consulting attorney in the Family Assist Program operated by South Jersey Legal Services to provide complementary advice to indigent litigants.

Mr. Meth graduated from Boston University in 1983 with a BA in political science. He earned his JD degree from Widener University in 1986. Mr. Meth is admitted to all federal and state courts in the State of New Jersey. He is also admitted in the State of New York, and to the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York.
